Race Report - 750 Motor Club - 2025 Round 3 - Mallory Park

Date: June, 2025

Another race weekend completed and this time with no failures apart from my gazebo blowing over and getting it's legs bent.

3 sessions on track in one day so it was a good one for my sponsors to come to as well as friends and family. With that said I went into qualifying knowing it was going to be tight as there were 2 other entrants in my class.

Qualifying went well though, managed to qualify on pole for my class for both races, by 0.07seconds! This was going to be a close race it seemed.

So onto race 1 and I got a great start, overtook a few people and didn't lose any places. Settled down to a race and had Trevor behind me in my class so things were looking good.

We had a good battle and then I missed a gear downshifting into the first turn and he got past me, then coming out of the hairpin on the same lap I missed another gear and that was the last I saw of him. He managed to get a tow off a car in Class B and pulled a 3 second gap on me in one lap! There was no way I could pull that back sadly. But still, 2nds in class for race 1. Pretty happy with that result as were my sponsors.

Onto race 2

The start was slightly delayed due to an incident in the race before and as we were sitting in the assembly area there were spots of rain floating about.

Starting on pole for my class again and another blinder of a start and this time I didn't miss any gears, had some good battles but sadly Trevor blew his engine and had to retire.

Mixed conditions through the race though, it felt like the heavens opened but it always does with a small amount of rain with just a helmet against the conditions.

It made finding braking points interesting but I just stuck at it and there didn't seem to be any difference in the levels of grip which was a bit of a change from last year when it just got progressively worse as the laps counted down!

Managed to finish the race, lap someone and not get overtaken by anyone in my class! 1st in class and another trophy for the non existent cabinet!

All in all a great day of racing.

Thanks to my sponsors Ecotherm Facilities Management for coming and supporting as well, you picked a great day of racing to watch so I hope you enjoyed it!

Sadly there is no video from this weekend as my batteries kept dying in the GoPro.
